Two things want to come together, and the card is as much about the choosing as the joining. The Lovers ask what you actually value, because that is what will decide it. When head and heart agree, this is what it looks like.

Something is out of step — between two people, or between what you want and what you keep doing. A decision is being postponed rather than made, and the postponing is itself the answer for now.
