Judgement
Major Arcana, 20 — from The 1909 London Deck.
Upright
reckoning, a call, clear-eyed decision
Something is being weighed up and answered, and you are being asked to decide with your eyes open. Judgement is the past coming back — not to punish, but to be settled. Answer honestly and this goes well.
In a yes or no reading, Judgement upright answers yes.
Reversed
self-doubt, avoiding the call, harsh self-judgement
You are either ignoring something that keeps asking to be dealt with, or judging yourself far more harshly than the situation warrants. Both delay the same conversation.
In a yes or no reading, Judgement reversed answers maybe — the situation has not settled.
What this card does in a reading here
A reading draws one card and answers the question you asked with it. Judgement can come up either way up — reversals are on in this deck, because the 1909 original was drawn with them in mind — and the two readings above are the starting point, not the answer. The answer depends on what you asked.
